United Federation Starfleet
Experience life as a Starfleet Officer. This star trek role play covers two full sims. There are always people around, the traffic count is nice. I know nothing about star trek, but for you trekkies, it is the biggest place around, have a look. |

Apollo Memorial Site
You’ll walk on the surface of the moon where you see the Apollo moonlander. It looks ok… if you keep your environment setting to midnight. Otherwise it becomes a laugh. It is a bit primitivly done. Work of a child? Yeah there is a thing that vaguely looks like a moon lander. At the entrance you need to pick up a special hud to view a few images and a movie…I spent a few minutes to get it working. It didn’t and I didn’t want to spoil more time. Oh..there is a sign at the entrance that you are obliged to wear a space suit, also pointing you to were to buy one. ignore that, I went in bikini and I am still healthy. No need to have yourself lifted a few hundred L$ out of your pocket for nothing. Or you think your moonsuit will be usefull elswhere too? |

Doomed Ship
A horror themed role-play space ship. Many people have told me this a great place to explore when you are patient enough to find your way around. I am not a very patient person. The little I have seen of the place makes me believe that indeed it is a great place, you’ll have to find out yourself though. |

Necronom VI
A world in a far future, most likely far from earth. At the entrance look for the sign “ENTRY: Click your destination”, clicking on the little blue square below it will teleport you inside. You’ll come at a central with a teleporter to several destinations. Here you can also pick up a notecard that tells a bit more about the station. This station isn’t a very safe place, Slavery, rape and unvolunteerly transformation are common practice, Some organic substance that grows in the lower quarters also isn’t too friendly. |

Skara Brae
BDSM, D/S role play in a Sci-Fi enviroment. You’ll meet all kind of creatures here. There is not really a structured role play going on. Go in.. be yourself.. have fun.. don’t come complaining to me if you get kidnapped by an alien. Great people here, a nice bar to hang out, and much more to explore. Besides humans many other races visit this place. |

International Spaceflight Museum
Who builds this kind of places.. and WHY? Even more.. why is this place always in the Lindens “showcase”.. do they ever go themselves to the places they feature? Let’s start with rezzing a vehicle for the guided round tour.. oh.. it works..but it doesn’t allow anybody to sit on it. It leaves without you. Ok then.. let’s go walking. Then – for those who know how to far-zoom as the roof is in the way – you see a whole bunch of rockets. Interesting! Give me information about each one! But no, no information provided at all. Which rocket does what? We won’t learn here. Well you can watch Nasa TV on a big square with uselessly much empty chairs. Boring.. if we wanna watch TV, we have one in the living room. Now we are in SL. Let’s move on. Ok.. we see the inside of a space capsule (no idea which type or so), of the space shuttle, a futuristic space ship, you can sit on what I think is a moon car, but it doesn’t drive. Then I met the only other person around, he seemed to work here and had objections about my clothing cause 1/4 of a nipple was visible. Weirdo! I have nice boobs, at least something worth watching at this place. A replica of the Apollo rocket – they went to the moon with that – and there we are: Gift shop. Also nothing worth spending a dime on. Oh.. I forgot the European rocket, somewhere in a corner. Long, erected and hard, like the othes, but then green. The fact that meanwhile the Chinese also have been in space – already quite a while ago – didn’t reach this museum yet. Sputnik is already forgotten and Yuri Gagarin is nowhere mentioned (neither is Neil Amstrong). Having learned nothing, having seen nothing interesting and did no nothing that could somehow be seen as entertaining, SLI took off her jacket again and teleported out again. Not that SL is a good place for museums but this crapy collection of rocket shaped things is no museum. |
