Goethe institure
The Goethe institute is Germany’s cultural institute. Their task is to spread the joys of the German culture in the rest of the world. Or something like that. That’s great… and even greater, they are also present in Second Life. You can go here and join the German language classes, given by professional German teaches. That costs you nothing and could be fun..or usefull. |
| Learn Spanish
This location is owned by a Spanish Language teacher who runs Spanish Language classes. You study in groups of 4, in 10 to 20 sessions of an hour, it cost US$ 5 per session, to be paid in advance. |

IslamOnline dot net
The island of IslamOnline.net. It has a big mosque (looks like the one in Mecca) where you can do your prayers by clicking a box, the Palestine Holocaust Memorial Museum, fashion shows (I was hoping to find a burqua dress but no shops here). They give courses and lectures about various subjects related to Islam, the prophet and so. You can also pick up some information, not exactly for beginners. I still doubt if avatars also have to prey 3 times a day with their face towards virtual Mecca..but who thinks they should : it is possible here. This place seems to be more for our Islamitic fellow avatars deepening their believe then for non-muslims who like to know a bit more about it. (Yeah traffic count is very low) |
